Céline Dion took the stage in custom Haute Couture by Schiaparelli, bridging past and future through a direct dialogue between an archival 1930s silhouette and its recent reinterpretation from the Spring/Summer 2025 Haute Couture collection.
The look combined anatomical precision with dramatic stage volume. At its core was a custom-molded leather bustier defined by an exaggerated curved neckline, sculpted directly to the body at the Gienah Robert atelier. Flowing beneath the rigid leather, a rich velvet-knit mermaid skirt hugged the frame before flaring into a floor-sweeping train, delivering pure surrealist power with unapologetic stage presence.
Deconstructed Romance: Givenchy by Sarah Burton
The visual mood shifted from sharp architectural lines to ethereal texture with a custom design by Sarah Burton for Givenchy.
Dion wore a dramatic cape crafted from dusty pink shredded organza, intricately embroidered to create movement and depth under the stage lights. Layered over a matching embroidered cut-out gown and finished with sharp black pointed pumps, the ensemble struck a deliberate balance between fragile couture handcraft and modern, razor-sharp stage presence.
The Master of Form: Maison Alaïa
Rounding out the evening’s masterclass in French sartorial savoir-faire, Maison Alaïa brought pure structural engineering to the spotlight. Known for sculpting fabric directly around the female anatomy, the maison delivered an impeccably cut silhouette that emphasized architectural tension and effortless movement. It stood in sharp contrast to conventional stage costume, relying entirely on cut, proportion, and tension rather than surface ornament.
Beyond a tour launch, the opening night of the 2026–2027 residency proved that fashion on this scale is not dressing for a show; it is an extension of the performance itself.
